You probably heard these wise words before: 'there are three things in life that a man (only men? without help from their women? no way.) should accomplish: build a house, plant a tree and have a son'.
I dare say: we did it.
But let's focus on the house project for now (unless I manage to find a picture of the not-so-spectacular tree that we planted....).
Approaching our inevitable Fourties, we were still only dreaming about our own house so we decided it was high time to stop dreaming and start planning.
We started to see some properties and quickly found an interesting object in Febuary 2011. In May 2011 we had everything settled and the key in our hands. That's when we started to renovate. What seems to be an endless project to most of our friends is in fact a journey that we really enjoy - well - at least most of the time. Yes - we know that we will never finish. That's fine and I even think we don't want to finish because we've got endless ideas and think that a place should change over time - same as it's inhabitants. Let's see how it developes over time and please feel yourselves welcome to explore our home.
